Experimentation

abstract

When you experiment with something new you never know what will happen.  This year has brought several new adventures, one is a design class I am taking at NIU.  The first project we tackled involved an abstract art project with india ink and found objects.  I had a great time working on this project.  This little peek into the fun and freedom I felt working in the abstract stayed with me.  When I spotted a local artist offering a beginners course to oil and wax and abstract, I knew I had to check it out.  And I am so glad I did! I was very happy with the results and I definitely plan on moving forward in this direction.

  1. Jessica, I love the abstract painting! The blend of colors in it is gorgeous. Have you ever done a beach or seaside themed painting??

    1. Hi Karlyn! How have you been? Yes a few years a ago when I was first starting out I did some seascapes. It’s been awhile, I should probably give it a go again! Are you looking for that style for your home?
